I’m a 20 year old, Monarchist, Fanboy, nerd, Nathan Fillion wannabe. I like many things including, but not limited to, Video games, good TV, Movies, Comic Books, Christina Hendricks, Firefly, Lost, Mandalorians, Duck Dynasty, Fable, RPGS, Halo, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Attractive women with accents, Lord of the Rings, Steampunk, The Legend of Drizzt, Epic Meal Time, Fringe, Helena Bonham Carter, Monty Python, Harry Potter, Ciaphas Cain, Person of Interest, Assassin's Creed, Archer, Brutal Legend, eating fried chicken, shipping, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Dragon Age, Bioware in general and writing. I do write both fanfiction and original works. My current project is set in a Steampunk world of my own creation. I’m a big fan of Ciaphas Cain, I find the uniform to be very stylish. I try to be open minded of others opinions. Unless you like James Potter, I hate that guy. Also, I really do enjoy happy endings to things, call it unrealistic and think what you want. We live in a dark enough world as it is. (Yes, despite all these things I'm a straight male. Shocking I know) I’ll repost or post whatever acquires my very fleeting attention span so if you’re into my various fandoms, feel free to click the follow button. Or don’t, since it doesn’t really matter. Cheers. Alec

113 Days to go

Prompt week:  Focus creative efforts into one specific prompt.  Write, draw, act, sculpt, sing, ect.  This week’s prompt is:  You’ve found a hot spring grotto.

So, I’m not completely happy with this fic, I find it hard to write characters I still don’t fully know, so assumptions have been made. This will be primarily pg, but it’ll get a little steamy later on. Which I assume is no problem for you people.

It is my great honor and pleasure to encourage everyone to look at the artist, “Momochanners” http://momochanners.tumblr.com

Seriously, this girl’s work is pure gold, everything. Absolutely, frigging everything. Plus, like me, she’s a big dwarf fan, and we dwarf fans must stay together. So please, look at her stuff, you won’t regret it.

Do a fancast for your favorite 5 characters from any of the games.

This was actually hard to do, as it’s not something I oft think about, so rather than pick my five favorites, this is the five I actually had actors in mind for, because, admittedly, I don’t have many.

Knight Commander Meredith: Cate Blanchett

Aside from the obvious physical resemblance, Blanchett is a solid actress, good with characters intimidating and complex. Meredith is far more complex than many give her credit for, with plenty of meaty scenes. Blanchett would be brilliant in this role.

Nathaniel Howe: Michael Fassbender

Howe is easily a fav, brilliant, witty in a dry way, and deep, very deep. Fassbender is one of my favorite actors. Perfect match.

Sten: Daniel Cudmore

Now, obviously, this is a makeup heavy role, but, Cudmore has the build to do a solid Sten. More importantly, he’s a fine actor, which is good, because the silent giant is far from a simple man, and he needs someone who can be, not only physically large but emotionally diverse, Cudmore can do it.

Wynne: Helen Mirren

Duh. Next.

Morrigan: Eva Green

Only one woman alive is worthy of playing my beloved witch, Eva Green, she’s got the looks, the talents, the mannerism and the skill to make this woman who is so dear to my heart, come to life. No one but Eva Green. She is Morrigan, as far as I am concerned.

Dragon Age Headcanons’ Prompt Contest:

Where did humans come from? They came to Thedas thousands of years ago, but where were they before? Why did they leave?

Reblog with your response for a chance to win!

The oldest and wisest of the Chasind shamans tell of the times long ago, before physical forms, when the human beings lived among the spirits of the Fade as spirits themselves. The Maker smiled upon these spirits, for they showed the most passion, the most diversity, the most range of emotion and they were closest to the Maker’s own heart. The early spirits longed to find a world where they belonged, where there was lasting meaning and purpose. So the Maker built one for them and gave them bodies, that they might enjoy all the new world had to offer. This new world pleased the new race, the humans, they who had once been spirits, yet they missed their Maker, for though he’d given them a world all their own, they felt lonely separated from him, so, the Maker made it so that, upon death, their inner selves would return the his side, until such a time as the spirits desired physical form again. Then, the Maker would give them new bodies, that they might know the feeling of life again. The human spirits agreed to this arrangement happily and thus it continues to this day.

Is the tale of the Chasind true or not? Well, the only way to know for sure is to ask the Maker himself, not something done easily. Still, it seems good a reason as any.

I’m surprised to see you here, Rory, given what happened. You were left on the mountainside. Yeah, I can’t believe I’m here. Things weren’t looking too good last time I saw myself. (x)
